You need to navigate your unique community!

What unique challenges do you face at your church?

Every local Church community has unique challenges.  It could be in relation to your location, environment, or those with whom you serve.

Recently, I sat down with Darryl Dash to discuss the challenges he faces as a church planter in Liberty Village, Toronto. You can check out our conversation on Youtube here and the audio version here. Part of that discussion involved recognizing the uniqueness of that urban, condo-dominated community.

Serving in such a fast paced and constantly-changing part of Canada has come with unique challenges that one would never think of. For example, the turnover rate of residents in the area is extremely high.  So building a long-term and dedicated volunteer base is hard, knowing that in less then 3 years, most of those team members will have likely move away from Liberty Village!

As you lead volunteer teams in your local church, how does the unique realities of your community impact how your volunteer teams and your leadership of those teams? Comment below!
